"Feminism has found no place in contemporary Russian women's consciousness.
Will the developements in Russia proceed along the path of rapprochement with Western feminism?
Hardly. Western feminism itself has dried up. It is too politicized. And the crisis of Russian women's consciousness is unfolding mainly  in the cultural sphere. It is relatively autonomous and only partly influenced by political strategies. Many of the ideas and demands of Western feminism have turned into dogma and have no relation to reality. It does not react to new phenomena. It's possible that the paths of Western and Russian women will come closer at some point in the future, to which both sides will arrive changed."
